Children who call between the hours of 8 a.m. to 10 p.m will have the option of talking with a Good News Guide if they would like to know more about how to receive Christ as their Savior . There are dozens of Tel-A-Story cards at the CEF office in Everett! If you would like some to pass out to children at your church, at a Bible club, at Awana, at a small group, etc., please don't hesitate to drop by to ask for some cards. It is recommended you give one Tel-A-Story card to the child and an extra one for one of their friends at school. At least 80% of all children throughout Snohomish County do not attend church. This is an exciting way to share the Gospel. Additionally, there is a need for some volunteers to give one hour per week to be a Good News Guide for a child. You can sign up for more than one hour if you'd like, as well. If you are interested in serving in this ministry you will need to go through a background check along with a brief training on how to use the Tel-A-Story script for speaking with children who call. Mr. Dick Kelley has volunteered to coordinate this ministry for Snohomish County and would be happy to meet with you to explain the program. You can answer the phone giving your first name only and you will follow a written script when speaking with a child. This is an awesome opportunity to reach children who would never hear the Good News about Jesus! |
