What about evolution?
Was Darwin right?
Do dating methods prove the earth is millions of years old?
Does any real scientist believe in creation?
What about dinosaurs?

Are you ready with answers?  Don't miss the awesome opportunity to hear Dr Robert W. Carter at Atonement on September 26th at the 8:30am and 11am services and inbetween at 9:45am Sunday School!

Dr Carter was converted to Christ at an early age, but did not know what to do with the theory of evolution. He always knew what he wanted to believe, but had no way to express what he was thinking and no evidence to support his views. In his freshman year of college, he was exposed to the

Rally Day Picnic, September 12!

29010002389.jpgRally Day  marks the beginning of the new Sunday School year!  This also brings a schedule change to the Sunday services.  8:30am First Service, 9:45am Sunday School for all ages, 11:00am Second Service. We kick off the fall schedule with a church family picnic and softball at Church Creek Park in Stanwood after the Second Service on September 12th.  Plan for things to get underway around 1pm.  Bring a dish to pass for the potluck meal.  Paperware and beverages are provided.  Bring softball or other sports equipment you'd like to use.  Often there is softball, volleyball, basketball and other random games that are played in addition to an extensive playground area for kids and woods with trails to explore.  Invite a friend or another family for the day!

Check Out This Website And Story! Pocketpower.org

covers_grouping.jpgA 14 year old girl started an organization in 1893 that has been going for over 115 years.  Helen Cadbury (yes, her dad founded Cadbury Chocolates) was saved at age 12 and two years later started something called "The Pocket New Testament League".  The idea was to be ones that not only read the Bible but also seek to have opportunities to witness and give away small New Testaments.  Throughout the years, over 100 MILLION New Testaments have been given away!  You have to check this out, though:  They have a website now (www.pocketpower.org) that you can go to and order New Testaments for free or donation in tons of different cover styles to customize them for who you would give them to!  They also have many languages.  Check it out, donate, order some and then give them out to friends, classmates, coworkers, etc!

Family Trees

Family trees are fascinating. One could easily become absorbed in the history of our predecessors. My wife and I were recently in the United Kingdom speaking at family seminars. We had a one-day break while in Scotland and decided to visit CASTLE CAMPBELL, originally owned by Colin Campbell, my namesake. I have always loved castles. Their grandeur, largeness and strength intrigue me. I find myself contemplating the wealth, dignity, pride and creativity that belonged to my ancestors of that era. I guess it must still be in the DNA.

Bible Camp Report!

camp2010.jpg

Bible camp is a unique and powerful experience!  It takes an investment of time and money but it is well worth the investment as it is a time to "unplug" from our fast-paced world and take opportunity for spiritual refreshment from God in His Word!  Around the theme "How Great Is Our God", this year was no exception!  It was a powerful week of challenge as we focused on our Creator God!

There is also a lot of fun in a week of camp!  From lasertag to rock climbing, from the incredible zipline to the big swing, from mini-golf to basketball...there was swimming, hiking and much more!

Begin planning and saving now to make this a personal or family tradition that grows you in your faith and further equips you for where God has called you.

Make Plans To Attend Mission Fest Seattle!

Earth-BlueMarble.jpgFor years, Vancouver, BC has hosted a Missions Fest that has drawn crowds of over 20,000 for the weekend.  Just a few years ago, a commitee was formed to host a Missions Fest Seattle!  Much prayer, planning and time has gone into each of these first few years events.  This is a great opportunity for us to join in and participate in this powerful Mission-centered event.

Missions Fest Seattle is a Friday evening and Saturday made up of large group sessions and small workshop opportunities.  The topics, geographical locations, mission issues, generational timeframes cover the entire spectrum of what God is doing all around the world!

Speakers, ministries and missionaries from all over the world come together and invest much in this brief event.  It is important for us to join in as well in what is God's heart for a broken and lost world!  Plan now to participate in this year's Missions Fest Seattle, the first weekend of October!

Find Your Place On The "Team" - The Body of Christ!

29010002389.jpgSunday, October 11th, there was a mini "Ministry Fair" at Atonement at 10am!  Following our recent study on Spiritual Gifts, this was a special opportunity to see the variety of ways that ones can plug in and serve as a member of the team!  If you missed it, ask Pastor for the ministry list and survey!  It is specially formatted to line up with spiritual gifts!  Don't miss this awesome opportunity!  God made us to all work together as a body and we will only be effective if we follow His design!  Don't miss it!
